Non-Exclusive Rates Increase: Now Live!

Posted: 30 Nov 2011 04:22 PM PST

Today we have exciting news for our non-exclusive Marketplace authors. As of late last night AEDT time, we increased the commission rate for all non-exclusive Marketplace authors from the old 25% to 33%. This means our non-exclusive authors will earn about a third more on each sale they make.

Non-exclusive authors have no need to do anything and will automatically receive the higher commission rate for all sales made after the change at midnight, last night.

Collis Ta’eed, Envato CEO had this to say about the change in his announcement of the change:

“So for all you non-exclusive authors selling with us, we'd like to say thank you for choosing to upload your content to our marketplaces. Especially those authors who've been with us in some cases for many years on marketplaces like AudioJungle. We hope that this rate bump will ensure that your time with Envato will be even more rewarding!”

Facebook Visualizing Friendships by Vincent Jhon

Facebook is a great way to make contacts. The image above shows just how far reaching Facebook can be.

In our author interviews, most authors have Facebook as a central part of their marketing strategy. In some previous articles, we’ve given you some tips to take your page even further:

Earlier this month FreelanceSwitch posted another article that is definitely worth checking out: 30 Top Facebook Apps for Business. Have you seen it yet?

Facebook is a good place to communicate with friends and get new job offers. Freelancers should not miss an employment opportunity on Facebook. The social network app section is a real treasure box with multiple handy applications.

These are some of the best Facebook applications that help freelances boost their productivity, enhance their business pages, show off their portfolio and attract new contacts. Since many freelancers work with social media as experts, account managers and analysts, the list below has both apps for personal profiles and Facebook pages.

The article’s author, Anna Kovaleva, goes on to give you a tasty menu of app options that can help you make the most of your Facebook page. The list includes a welcome page, business profile, contacts, testimonials, productivity tools, updates from other social networks, blogging, polls, promotions, and e-commerce & donations.

Take a careful browse through the list to see which tools are a good fit for your page and business. Please let us know in the comments which ones you found useful. And don’t forget to say “thanks” to Anna in the FreelanceSwitch comments.
