Off to the Land of Ice!

In preparation for the big Kuala Lumpur trip coming up here soon, my wife and I decided it might be a good idea to get a little “travel practice” since we’ve both never left the US before. I found a stellar bundle online and went for it.

I must say that this trip to Iceland has been simply amazing! The people here mostly all speak English (as well as Icelandic) and Reykjavik is a beautiful city surrounded by snowy mountains and a lovely (yet very cold) coastline. :)

Yesterday we traveled around the country for about 12 hours doing the Golden Circle and today we went relaxing in the famed Blue Lagoon with it’s “healing” milky blue waters!

My wife Katie unfortunately had gotten quite sick on our honeymoon two and a half years ago so we’ve always felt a little bit short changed from the typical “honeymoon” experience… this trip has made up for it without a doubt!

I’m currently writing this in our hotel room looking out over the city. Here are a couple photos from the trip… of course, we couldn’t forget a little Envato shout out! :)

Weekly Inspiration!

Posted: 04 Mar 2012 08:50 PM PST

This week we’ve got our motivation back and are feeling inspired by a great quote by Alan Kay. (Not Abraham Lincoln as first thought!)

Alan Kay is an American computer scientist, known for his early pioneering work on object-oriented programming and graphical user interface design.

Whether you are a pioneering programer or designing a new item, this quote reminds us to not fret about the future and to focus instead on creating our own destiny.

"The best way to predict the future is to create it."

– Alan Kay

Enjoy!
